Kombi “Ruby” as we like to call her because of her deep red colour, is a 1962 VW Split Screen Bus who spent most of her working life commuting between the township of Mt Isa and the local aerodrome. She has now been fastidiously restored to replicate her original condition when first delivered to Australia from the factory in West Germany. No expense has been spared throughout the restoration process, for example, the upholstery for the interior, doors and side panels were sourced from the USA to match the original factory upholstery. Ruby has the capacity to seat seven passengers in comfort, provides excellent vision all round and ingress and egress is made easy due the wide opening barn doors on the left hand side. Please note that Ruby is not fitted with Air Conditioning. Feel free to bring your ipod along as she has an ipod docking station on board enabling you to listen to your favourite tunes. She is available for Weddings, Formals, Tours, Sightseeing and Promotional Events. |
